We took our car to Braefel Garage which had aftermarket wheels fitted by the previous owner with an incorrect offset and incorrect wheel nuts for the application. The handbrake and clutch are also faulty and subsequently the owner of this business was informed by myself that the vehicle should not be driven as it was in a currently unsafe condition. Unfortunately this advice was ignored and after almost a week with no communication at all from Braefel Garage I telephoned the owner only to be informed that the vehicle was a death trap and a mechanic had taken the vehicle out only to have nearly crashed it into a hedge. I was surprised by this response as I had already informed him of the vehicles unsafe condition which is why it was taken to the garage in the first place. The owner of the garage offered no solution to make the vehicle road worthy and seems to lack customer service skills, communication skills and the ability to listen to customers unlike his excellent receptionist who had to field my final two calls because he could not be bothered to diagnose or even quote for the faults on the vehicle. The vehicle was left on the forecourt next to a busy road with the window partly lowered for the duration of almost a week. We have now booked the vehicle to another garage who are much more communicative and are willing to actually fix the issues.
